New Modules Release2nd May, 2005
Phitomas today announced the release of two additional modules for eam2go™ Standard Edition users, namely:
The Vendor Quotation module is used to generate requests for quotation (RFQs) to vendors, track open RFQs, and store vendor quotation and price information. A complete database of vendor quotations and a cross-reference of all vendors that provide each item is maintained. This information can be used to analyze quotations and to assist buyers in selecting preferred vendors for the items that they need to buy. The Vendor Quotation Module is recommended for any company that has multiple vendors for purchased items and does competitive bidding. If you already have a purchasing system, this module is able to run as a stand alone application. The Analysis module on the other hand provides maintenance professionals with several detailed analysis of each asset, such as Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF), Failure Rate, Mean-Time To Repair (MTTR), Average Response Time, Costs etc. The Analysis modules also allows users to group/consolidate information by hierarchy, e.g. by Site, by Location, by Asset Group, by Asset Parent and all the way down to the Asset Child. |

About 100 Enterprises For MIRC E-enablement Campaign26th May, 2005 Copyright: BERNAMA
KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 (Bernama) -- About 100 small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) are expected to take part in the e-Enablement campaign organised by the MCA ICT Resource Centre (MIRC) in the next three months. The programme, aimed at increasing information and communications technology (ICT) awareness for SMEs, involved smart partnerships with 21 technology vendors providing solutions for the SMEs. Speaking to reporters at the launching ceremony here Thursday, MCA ICT bureau chairman Datuk Kong Cho Ha said the campaign was expected to bring more SMEs into the ICT mainstream and help them in making use of technology. "We are actually playing a matchmaking role for both SMEs and technology vendors by creating a one-stop centre," said Kong, who is also Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister. He added that MIRC is currently working with technology vendors to reduce the cost of technology ownership, enabling SMEs to get ICT products and services at lower prices through the programme. Kong said with MIRC's help, the SMEs could also identify suitable e-Enablement partners to provide them with better ICT products and services. "We are expecting more technology partners to join the campaign and signed up with us as soon as they hear about it," he said. MIRC, in collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia, is organising a roadshow on ICT awareness for SMEs which will be held in Johor Bahru on May 31, Penang on June 2 and Kuala Lumpur on June 9. To attract Chinese-based SMEs, it is also organising a seminar entitled "Stay Competitive Globally through Technology Innovation" on June 23. The seminar, to be held at the Grand Plaza Park Royal Hotel here, will be officiated by Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, who is also the MCA president. Kong said with all the initiatives undertaken by MIRC, the SMEs would be better equipped to compete globally through embracing technology innovation. "Technology innovation is the key for our SMEs to survive in this globally competitive environment," he said. The e-Enablement campaign is open to all SMEs and ICT solution providers. Details on the campaign can be found on the MIRC website at www.mirc.org.my. Among the technology vendors which have signed up for the campaign are Payment Transactions Sdn Bhd, LST Media Solutions Sdn Bhd, Phitomas Sdn Bhd, Borderless Communication Sdn Bhd and The Media Shoppe. -- BERNAMA |
