Objective
eam2go's Getting Started Guide is designed to get you started using eam2go's Free Edition as quickly as possible. This guide is divided into four smaller sections:
- Introduction to all modules in eam2go Free Edition.
- Integration between modules.
- Setting up your system.
- Getting started for all modules.

Introduction
eam2go Free Edition consists of four main modules. They are:
- Assets – It is used to record asset information and specifications. Assets could be machines, equipments, motor vehicles, computers or buildings.
- Tools – It is used to manage tools that are used for maintenance. With this module, user is able to track each tool's availability and movement history.
- Inventory – It is used to manage spare parts inventory within stock rooms and bins. You can use it to issue, receive or transfer inventory between stock rooms and bins.
- Work Order – It is used to create new work orders which will then be used to track service or repair details and finally generate reports for analysis.
Integration Between Modules

Setting Up Your System
Before you can begin using eam2go Free Edition, you will need to populate certain master data relevant to your company's maintenance operations. To successfully set up your system, enter the compulsory master data in the following order:

After populating the above master data into the system, you are now ready to start using the system. Most activities can be accomplished in the List View of the each module.
Assets
- You are able to transfer an asset from one parent to another by clicking on the [T] in the Action column under List View.
- You may activate and inactivate a batch of assets by checking on the first column upper check box and then click on the “Activate” or “Inactivate” buttons. Otherwise, you may click each checkbox individually.
Tools
- You are able to transfer a tool from one Toolroom and Bin to another by clicking on the [T] in the Action column under the List View.
- You are able to issue a tool to an employee and record the expected return date or miscellaneously issue the tool by clicking on the [I] in the Action column under the List View.
- You are able to receive a tool by clicking on the [R] in the Action column under List View.
- You are able to return a tool from an employee by clicking on the [U] in the Action column under List View.
- You are able to track overdue tools from the “Overdue Tools” filter
- You are able to see tools availability and on hand quantity in the List View.
Inventory
- You are able to transfer a part from one Stockroom and Bin to another by clicking on the [T] in the Action column under List View.
- You are able to issue a part to a work oder or for a miscellaneous reason by clicking on the [I] in the Action column under List View.
- You are able to receive a part from an over-issue or for a miscellaneous reason by clicking on the [R] in the Action column under List View.
- You may want to view the total standard cost for a part in the List view or reports.
Work Order
- You are able to create a repair, emergency or corrective work order under New Work Order.
- You are able to plan a list of task to do; assign supervisor and technician to the job; plan for parts and tool required or outside service processing while creating the new work order or during work order maintenance.
- You may want to update the status of the work order under WO Feedback. Eg, how much time taken to perform the job; which task has been completed; resolution and preventive measure, etc.
- Comparison of plan and actual cost and work done can be viewed under the work order maintenance window.
- You may open, close, hold, reopen, cancel or print a batch of work orders under the List view by checking on the first column and click on the appropriate button.
